The Health and Safety at Work act places legal obligations on employers to provide safe working conditions for people to work safely.

We apply high standards in terms of the health and safety and welfare of all our employees and associates. We expect our employees and our associates to maintain these standards. We secure agreement to the following as part of their obligations when working with us.

Notices and written instructions.

  • You agree to comply with all hazard and warning signs and notices displayed on company and client premises.
  • You agree to read and observe any safety notices instructions displayed in your working environment.

Working conditions and environment.

  1. You agree to make proper use of all safety equipment and facilities provided to control your working conditions and environment.
  2. You agree to keep work areas clear and in a clean and tidy condition.
  3. You agree to dispose of all rubbish and waste materials within the working area using the facilities provided.
  4. You agree clear up any spillages and liquids as soon as possible.

Fire precautions.

  1. You agree to conform with all emergency procedures pertinent to work activity.
  2. You agree not obstruct any fire escape routes fire equipment or fire doors.
  3. You agree to report any use of firefighting equipment the on-site manager in that location in which you are carrying out your duties.

Accidents.

  1. You agree to seek first aid treatment for any injury that you receive no matter how minor it may appear to be.
  2. You agree to report the incident to on site supervision and ensure that the details are entered in the accident book.
  3. You agree to report all accidents and dangerous occurrences to your manager as soon as possible.
  4. You agree to notify your manager of any incident involving customers or clients.

Health and welfare.

  1. You agree to report to your supervisor manager any medical condition that could affect the safety of yourself or others.
  2. You agree to cooperate on the implementation of any medical and occupational health provision.

Responsibility.

We recognise the importance of applying high standards in terms of the health and safety and welfare of all our employees and associates.

All associates have responsibility to accept their personal involvement in the practical application of this policy, but specific responsibility falls upon the Directors to communicate and apply this policy.
